Every schedule owns its columns. Add, rename, reorder, or delete them per schedule, so a plumbing schedule can carry "Rough-in" while lighting carries "Lamping". Extraction follows whatever columns you've defined.

Click the small × on the button itself, or right-click anywhere on a page and choose Hide SPEC button. It stays hidden on every site until you turn it back on, and hiding it doesn't disable anything — you can still spec a page from the right-click menu. To bring it back, right-click a page and choose Show SPEC button.

Right-click anywhere on a page and the extension adds three items: SPEC this page captures the product without touching the button, View SpexxTool schedule opens the project this page would be filed into, and Hide SPEC button / Show SPEC button toggles the floating button. The menu works whether or not the button is showing, which is why hiding the button costs you nothing.

Two places. In the extension's review panel, every field is a text box — click it and type before you accept the draft, and use Edit columns there to add, rename, or delete a field on the schedule. In the dashboard, click any cell in a schedule table and it becomes editable in place; press Enter to save. Same columns, same values, either way.

Right-click the SpexxTool icon in the Chrome toolbar and choose Remove from Chrome, or open chrome://extensions and click Remove on the SpexxTool card. Uninstalling only removes the capture tool from your browser — your projects, schedules, and share links stay exactly as they are, and you can keep working in the dashboard without it.

No. A share link opens a read-only view of the project — schedules, prices, lead times, stock — with no sign-in and nothing to install. Most contractors will want the printed drawings and the PDF project manual instead, and those work the way they always have.

Yes. Open the project, click Share & Export, then Manage collaborators, and add them by the email address they use for SpexxTool. They can then open the project from their own dashboard and edit it alongside you — add schedules and items, edit cells, and export.

They have to have signed in to SpexxTool at least once first. Adding a collaborator looks up an existing account by email rather than sending an invitation, so if they have never signed in there is nothing to attach the project to and you'll be told no account was found for that address. Ask them to sign in once, then add them.

Only the project's owner can add or remove collaborators, or delete the project. A collaborator needs no subscription of their own to work on a project you own, and can remove themselves at any time.

Your first project is free, with no credit card. Creating or duplicating additional projects takes a $10/month subscription.

You keep your projects — all of them, not just the first one — and they stay open, editable, and exportable for as long as your account exists. Cancelling only stops you creating or duplicating new projects until you subscribe again. Nothing is deleted, locked, or held hostage; your share links keep working; and you can still archive and restore what you already have.

Because a schedule is tied to a job, not to a headcount. One project costs nothing, so you can run a whole small job through SpexxTool before deciding whether it's worth paying for.

You, anyone you invite to the project, and anyone holding a share link you've sent out. Share links are meant to be printed on drawings and read aloud, so treat them as public once you share them — you can deactivate one at any time. See the privacy policy for the details.

Only the page you press SPEC on, and only when you press it: the visible text, the images, the page's structured product data, and any spec sheets it links to. It isn't watching your browsing in the background.
